The 7 AI Agents Guide

The complete system to automate your day, your week, and your decisions.

Example persona: Aïssata Diallo, Senior PM at a pan-African fintech in Dakar.

What is an AI agent, really?

An AI agent isn't a prompt you copy-paste. It's a durable configuration with 5 elements:

  1. 1. A role: the persona, the expertise
  2. 2. A context: the scope, the goals, the key people
  3. 3. A precise mission: the steps to run
  4. 4. An output format: structure, tone, constraints
  5. 5. A trigger: manual, scheduled, event-based

When an agent is well configured, you invoke it with one command (or it invokes itself) and you get exactly what you expect.

Tools to host an agent

ToolSchedulable?Ideal use case
Claude (Cowork + scheduled tasks)✅ With native MCPsMulti-source orchestration
ChatGPT Tasks✅ Built in since January 2025Simple, few external connectors
Microsoft Copilot 365✅ Via Power AutomateIf you live in M365
Custom-built (n8n / Zapier + API)✅ Full controlIf you own your own stack

The 7 golden rules for a good schedulable agent

  1. 1. Single role, bounded scope: one agent = one mission, not five
  2. 2. Injected context: the agent must know YOUR priorities, YOUR people, YOUR projects
  3. 3. Explicit sources: list the exact inputs
  4. 4. Defined output format: otherwise it improvises a different layout every time
  5. 5. Priority rules: how to sort the information
  6. 6. Voice constraints: "no em dashes," "direct tone," "max 5 bullets"
  7. 7. Idempotence: running it twice doesn't break anything

Agent #1

🌅Chief of Staff

Morning Brief

🎯 The mission in 1 sentence

Every morning at 7am, the agent delivers a complete, prioritized briefing: calendar, emails to handle, Slack messages, schedule conflicts, and your plan for the day.

Time saved

30 to 45 minutes of manual scanning in the morning.

🛠 Recommended tool

Claude (Cowork with scheduled tasks + MCP) for its native calendar / email / Slack integration. Alternatives: ChatGPT Tasks (without external connectors) or Power Automate + Copilot 365.

📥 What the agent scans

  • Today's calendar
  • Unread emails from the last 24h
  • Slack messages (DMs + mentions + strategic channels)
  • Team absences
  • Status of priority projects

📤 What it delivers

  • Key alerts (absences, today's blockers)
  • Today's schedule (meeting table with context)
  • Calendar conflicts resolved for you
  • Emails to handle (grouped by priority)
  • Slack messages to handle (grouped by priority)
  • Plan for the day (top 3 + meetings to prepare)

⚙️ What you customize

  • Your priority projects (3 to 5 max, with color status)
  • Your key people (manager, skip-level, direct team)
  • Your scan sources (specific Slack channels)
  • The run time

⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid

  • Setting 10 priorities instead of 3 dilutes the agent's focus
  • Forgetting the time zone when scheduling
  • Not anonymizing when you share the results
  • Relying on overloaded Slack channels (rate limits)

📋 The prompt template

You are [YOUR_NAME]'s Chief of Staff agent: Morning Brief.

Agent #2

📌Commitment Tracker

Never lose track of a promise

🎯 The mission in 1 sentence

At 6pm every day, the agent aggregates your commitments (meetings, emails, Slack) into a single view with owner, deadline, and status.

Time saved

The 20 to 30 minutes spent asking "wait, what did I promise?"

🛠 Recommended tool

Claude (Project + MCP with Notion or Linear for storage), or a custom GPT on ChatGPT with calendar / email access.

📥 What the agent scans

  • Today's meetings (transcripts if available)
  • Emails sent and received today
  • Slack messages sent and received today
  • Updates to the existing tracker

📤 What it delivers

  • Structured list: commitment · owner · deadline · source · status
  • "Your commitments" vs "delegated commitments" split
  • Top 3 critical items for the next 48h

⚙️ What you customize

  • Your scan sources
  • Your destination tracking tool (Notion database, Linear, Asana, etc.)
  • Your definition of a "commitment" (explicit threshold vs vague)

⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid

  • Not defining a commitment leads to too much noise
  • Re-triggering on already-processed commitments creates duplicates
  • Too much granularity turns the agent into a parser, not an assistant

📋 The prompt template

You are [YOUR_NAME]'s Commitment Tracker agent.

Your mission: aggregate the commitments made/received today and
add them to the tracker.

Sources to scan:
• My meetings today (transcripts if available, otherwise notes)
• My emails sent and received today
• My Slack messages sent and received today
• [OTHER_SOURCES]

Criteria for a commitment:
• Explicit commitment ("I'll do X", "can you do Y by Z")
• Concrete action, not vague
• Identifiable owner (me, or someone else)
• Implicit or explicit deadline

For each commitment:
1. Short description (1 sentence)
2. Owner: me or [NAME]
3. Deadline: explicit or inferred
4. Source: meeting/email/Slack + ID/link
5. Initial status: "To do"

Before adding: check there's no duplicate.

Output: add to [TRACKING_TOOL] + summary in [DESTINATION] with:
• Total added today
• List of owner/deadline
• Top 3 critical items for 48h

🎨 Sample output Aïssata, Friday May 22, 6pm

📌 Commitment Tracker, Friday May 22 · 6pm

2. KYC v3 flow, unblock Compliance before Monday
3. Quarterly Review slides, first draft Sunday night

🚀 First-time setup

Create a "Commitments" Notion database, connect via MCP, schedule it daily at 6pm.

Agent #3

📋Meeting Prep

15 min before every meeting

🎯 The mission in 1 sentence

15 minutes before every meeting, the agent delivers an actionable brief: objective, your role, questions to ask, sensitive points.

Time saved

20 min × 5 to 10 meetings a day = 1h30 to 3h.

🛠 Recommended tool

Claude (Project + calendar + notes MCP) or ChatGPT with a Calendar extension.

📥 What the agent scans

  • Calendar invite (subject, agenda, attendees, files)
  • Notes from your last 3 meetings with these people
  • Related project context (Notion, Linear, Drive)

📤 What it delivers

  • Meeting objective (1 sentence)
  • Your expected role (presenter, challenger, listener)
  • 2 to 3 questions to prepare (decision-oriented)
  • Sensitive points to anticipate

⚙️ What you customize

  • Your active projects
  • Your role in the organization
  • Your preferred prep style (factual vs strategic)

⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid

  • Not enough context injected, the agent generalizes
  • Asking for too much prep, 30 minutes of reading gets you nowhere
  • Forgetting historical notes, the agent misses past tensions

📋 The prompt template

You are [YOUR_NAME]'s Meeting Prep agent.

Your mission: 15 min before every meeting, deliver a concise,
actionable brief.

Available inputs:
• Calendar invite (subject, agenda, attendees, files)
• My notes from the last 3 meetings with these people
• Related project context (Notion / Linear / Drive)
• My role: [YOUR_ROLE]
• My current priorities: [LIST]

For each meeting, produce:
1. Meeting objective (1 clear sentence)
2. My expected role (presenter? challenger? listener?)
3. 2 to 3 questions to prepare (decision-oriented, not curiosity-driven)
4. Sensitive points to anticipate (tensions, recent disagreements)
5. Likely decisions to be made

Style: bullet points, max 100 words total. No fluff.

Output: send 15 min before the meeting time via [DESTINATION].

🎨 Sample output Aïssata, 3:15pm before the Quarterly Review

📋 Meeting Prep, 3:30pm Quarterly Review
(VP Product + skip-level + tech leads)

🎯 Objective
Present H1 progress on the 3 priority goals
(KYC, Wallet 2.0, Integration) and get a green light on H2 scope.

🎙 Your role
Presenter. You're carrying the narrative "we're on track
despite compliance risks."

❓ Questions to prepare
1. Is the Q2 compliance risk resolved before the Wallet 2.0 launch?
2. Do we have the engineering resources to run Integration and Wallet 2.0 in parallel?
3. H2 scope: prioritize expansion or consolidation?

⚠️ Sensitive points
• Marie-Claire (skip-level) flagged a budget risk in April
• The tech leads might push to delay Wallet 2.0

🎯 Likely decisions
• Wallet 2.0 timeline approval
• H2 resource allocation
• Green light or not on Mali expansion

🚀 First-time setup

Claude Project "Meeting Prep," calendar + Notion MCP, triggered 15 min before each event.

Agent #4

🎯Career Coach

3 to 5 questions that move you forward

🎯 The mission in 1 sentence

Once a week, the agent asks you 3 to 5 questions that challenge your career trajectory. No answers, just questions that move you forward.

Time saved

Not about time. It prevents months of drifting without perspective.

🛠 Recommended tool

Claude (Project with your full professional context). No external connectors needed.

📥 What the agent scans

  • Your recent CV
  • Your career plan (6/12/24 month goals)
  • Your known strengths and weaknesses
  • Your feedback history
  • Your current blockers

📤 What it delivers

  • 3 to 5 surgical questions per week
  • 1 provocative closing line
  • A time marker (X days before your next milestone)

⚙️ What you customize

  • Your industry, current level, targeted next step
  • Your tolerance for pushback (blunt / direct / nuanced)
  • The question mix (trajectory, execution, blind spots, impact)

⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid

  • Mixing up coach and therapist, the agent challenges, it doesn't heal
  • Too many questions and you don't act on any of them
  • Too blunt and you get discouraged without progressing

📋 The prompt template

You are [YOUR_NAME]'s Career Coach.

Context:
• Current role: [YOUR_ROLE] at [YOUR_COMPANY]
• Current level: [YOUR_LEVEL]
• Targeted next step: [PROMOTION/CHANGE/AUTONOMY]
• Deadline: [DATE]
• Main strengths: [LIST]
• Known weaknesses: [LIST]
• Recent reviews: [SUMMARY]

Your mission: once a week (Sunday night), ask me 3 to 5
questions that challenge my trajectory.

Rules:
• No answers. Only questions.
• No open-ended questions like "what's blocking you?"
  Too vague.
• Surgical questions, oriented toward action or decisions.
• Mix: 1 question about trajectory (where I'm headed), 1 about
execution (what I'm doing this week), 1 about blind
spots (what I'm avoiding), 1 about impact (who I'm serving).

Output format:
• Header: date + milestone
• The 3 to 5 questions, numbered
• 1 provocative closing line

Style: honest, direct, sometimes blunt. No positivity fluff.

🎨 Sample output Aïssata, Sunday night

🎯 Career Coach, Sunday May 24 · 105 days before the promotion

Three questions this week.

1. You presented the Quarterly Review Friday. What did
Marie-Claire (skip-level) notice about you that does NOT
show up in your self-review? Go ask her.

2. You've been driving Wallet 2.0 for 4 months. If you had to
tell this project's story to a recruiter in 6 months, what would
make your version unique vs another fintech PM? If nothing
comes to mind, that's a signal.

3. You've avoided the "post-promotion salary negotiation" topic for
3 weeks. Why? Block 30 min in your calendar
this week to prep your case.

Provocation: your promotion will come faster if you work on
what others see (external impact), not on what you
already master (internal deliverables).

🚀 First-time setup

Claude Project with your full professional bio + explicit goals, scheduled Sunday 6pm.

Agent #5

🌙Evening Wrap-up

Close the door on work

🎯 The mission in 1 sentence

At 6pm every day, the agent wraps up: what moved forward, what slipped, what's ready for tomorrow. You close the door on work.

Time saved

The 15 minutes of "what did I even do today?" plus a better work/life transition.

🛠 Recommended tool

Claude (Project + calendar + tracking tool MCP), or ChatGPT with equivalent access.

📥 What the agent scans

  • Today's meetings
  • Commitments created or closed
  • Emails sent
  • Deadlines that moved
  • Tomorrow's schedule

📤 What it delivers

  • What moved forward (3 max)
  • What slipped and why (factual)
  • Setup for tomorrow (first meeting + top 3 + 1 thing not to forget)
  • Today's contribution vs half-year goals

⚙️ What you customize

  • Your sources
  • Your format (factual vs reflective)
  • Your half-year priorities

⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid

  • Doing the wrap-up without mentally closing off, you're still working at 10pm
  • Too long a format turns it into a logbook, not a wrap-up
  • Mixing emotional and factual, the agent isn't a therapist

📋 The prompt template

You are [YOUR_NAME]'s Evening Wrap-up.

Your mission: every working day at 6pm, wrap up and prep tomorrow.

Inputs to scan:
• Meetings held today
• Commitments created or closed
• Emails sent
• Deadlines that moved
• Tomorrow's schedule

Output structure:
1. ✅ What moved forward (3 max)
2. ⏸ What slipped and why (factually)
3. 🌅 Tomorrow's prep:
   • First meeting + time
   • Top 3 morning actions
   • 1 thing NOT to forget
4. 🎯 Today's contribution vs [HALF-YEAR_GOALS]

Style: factual, short, max 150 words. No motivational-coach tone.

Output: [DESTINATION] at 6pm. Tag #day-closed.

🎨 Sample output Aïssata, Friday May 22, 6pm

🌙 Evening Wrap-up, Friday May 22 · 6pm

✅ What moved forward
• Quarterly Review presented, VP approved Wallet 2.0 timeline
• Reply to CEO on Wallet 2.0 ROI sent at 2pm
• KYC v3 approved with Compliance (3 days early)

⏸ What slipped
• Integration mockups not approved (missed the 10:30 review),
  moved to Monday
• 1:1 with Bilal cut short to 30 min, resuming next Wednesday

🌅 Prep for Monday May 25
• First meeting: Daily Stand-up 9am
• Top 3 morning actions:
  1. Approve integration mockups before 10am
  2. Prep Wednesday's 1:1 with Bilal
  3. Kick off H2 scope with tech leads
• Don't forget: Fatou Touré is waiting on your Q3 OKR reply

🎯 Half-year contribution
+1 point on the Q2 KYC goal. Wallet 2.0 secured.
Integration is 3 days behind.

You can close the door. Have a good weekend.

🚀 First-time setup

Schedule it daily at 6pm (or 30 min before the end of your day).

Agent #6

🥊Devil's Advocate

Before a major decision

🎯 The mission in 1 sentence

Before a major decision, the agent attacks your thesis: 3 reasons it could fail, 5 tricky questions your VP is going to ask.

Time saved

Not about time. You avoid the meetings where you get torn apart because you didn't see it coming.

🛠 Recommended tool

Claude (Project with a "highly critical senior PM" persona) or ChatGPT with an equivalent persona.

📥 What the agent scans

  • The proposed decision
  • The context (project, deadline, stakes)
  • The data that supports it
  • Your implicit assumptions
  • Who's going to challenge you (VP, committee, peers)

📤 What it delivers

  • 3 likely failure reasons (ranked by probability)
  • 5 surgical questions your challenger will ask
  • The strongest version of the opposing argument
  • The "if I'm wrong, what will I see in 30 days?" test

⚙️ What you customize

  • Your industry, your main challenger's persona
  • Your tolerated risk level
  • The devil's advocate's tone (blunt / nuanced)

⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid

  • Mixing up Devil's Advocate and despair, the agent challenges, it doesn't discourage
  • If you walk away discouraged, your thesis was weak to begin with
  • Invoking it for trivial decisions leads to paralysis

📋 The prompt template

You are [YOUR_NAME]'s Devil's Advocate.

Your mission: challenge important decisions BEFORE they
get made.

You're not my friend. You're a cynical senior PM with 15 years
of experience who's already seen this decision fail 10 times.

Inputs (that I give you each time I invoke you):
• The proposed decision
• The context (project, deadline, stakes)
• The data supporting it
• My implicit assumptions
• Who's going to challenge me in the meeting

Expected output:
1. The 3 strongest reasons this decision
could fail (ranked by probability, not impact)
2. The 5 surgical questions [CHALLENGER] is going to ask
3. The strongest version of the opposing argument (steel-manned)
4. The "if I'm wrong, what will I see in 30 days?" test

Style: blunt, factual. No "respectfully, I think that…"
You're paid to save me from myself.

🎨 Sample output Aïssata before the Wallet 2.0 launch

🥊 Devil's Advocate, Wallet 2.0 Launch (proposed for June 15)

3 likely failure reasons

1. KYC v3 was approved by Compliance, but edge cases
(customers without a valid ID) haven't been tested in
production. If 5% of sign-ups fail at launch,
your NPS craters in the first week.

2. You're pushing the timeline to match the marketing window.
But Moussa (tech lead) flagged a scaling risk
   above 10K users/day. You're targeting 30K. Rerun the math.

3. Mali is in scope. You haven't confirmed
BCEAO compliance. If you launch without it, you're taking on a
regulatory risk that could shut the product down.

5 questions Marie-Claire is going to ask you
1. What's the SLA on KYC sign-ups? What if you miss it the
   first week?
2. If there's a critical incident at launch, how fast is the
rollback? How many users are impacted in the worst case?
3. Why now and not in July? 3 non-marketing
   reasons.
4. Who on the team has run a launch at this scale
before? If no one, who's your outside coach?
5. What's the fallback if Mali has to be pulled from scope the
   week of launch?

Steel-manned counter-argument
Delaying Wallet 2.0 by 6 weeks (to July 31) lets you
test KYC v3 on 1,000 beta users, confirm BCEAO
compliance for Mali, and give Moussa time to optimize scaling.
Marketing risk: you lose the June payday window. Upside: a product
that survives at scale.

30-day test
If you're wrong, in 30 days you'll see:
• Sign-up failure rate > 8%
• Peak latency > 2.5s above 10K users
• 1 regulatory incident in Mali
• Early user churn > 15%

If you see 2 of these 4 signals, you were wrong.

🚀 First-time setup

A dedicated Claude Project, invoke it before any decision with > €50K impact or strategic weight.

Agent #7

📆Weekly Plan

Sunday night, the week is clear

🎯 The mission in 1 sentence

Sunday night, the agent delivers your weekly plan, big priorities first, calendar second, anti-distractions included.

Time saved

30 minutes of manual planning plus a week aligned with your real priorities.

🛠 Recommended tool

Claude (Project + calendar + project tracking MCP) or ChatGPT Tasks.

📥 What the agent scans

  • Your half-year goals
  • Your calendar for the upcoming week
  • Your pending commitments
  • Your deadlines for the next 14 days
  • Your personal constraints (workouts, family, doctor's appointments)

📤 What it delivers

  • Big priorities (3 for the week)
  • Calendar view with daily themes
  • Anti-distractions (what you're saying no to this week)
  • Weekly risks (overlaps, low energy)

⚙️ What you customize

  • Your half-year goals
  • Your ideal rhythm (deep work in the morning? afternoon?)
  • Your fixed personal constraints

⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid

  • Planning > 70% of your week leaves no room for the unexpected
  • Confusing urgency with importance in your big priorities
  • Skipping daily themes leads to a fragmented week

📋 The prompt template

You are [YOUR_NAME]'s Weekly Plan.

Your mission: every Sunday night, deliver the plan for the week
ahead.

Inputs to scan:
• My half-year goals ([LIST])
• My calendar for the upcoming week
• My pending commitments (by priority)
• My deadlines for the next 14 days
• My personal constraints ([WORKOUTS, FAMILY, APPOINTMENTS])

Output structure:
1. 🎯 BIG PRIORITIES: the 3 things that MUST move forward this week
(aligned with half-year goals, not urgency)
2. 📅 Calendar view: meetings + deep work blocks + buffers
3. ⏰ Daily themes: 1 dominant theme per day
4. 🛡 Anti-distractions: what I need to REFUSE this week
5. 🚨 Weekly risks: overlaps, tight deadlines,
   likely low energy

Golden rule: if the week is more than 70% planned, remove
things. The 30% margin absorbs the unexpected.

Style: direct, operational. No motivational speeches.

🎨 Sample output Aïssata, Sunday night May 24

📆 Weekly Plan, May 25 to 31, 2026

🎯 BIG PRIORITIES (3)
1. Integration mockups approved Tuesday (missed last week)
2. H2 scope defined with tech leads before Friday
3. Prep Wednesday's 1:1 with Bilal (topic: promotion + KYC)

📅 Calendar view
MON 25: Strategy Day · 4h deep work in the morning (H2 scope prep)
TUE 26: Execution Day · Mockup review + KYC wrap-up
WED 27: Management Day · 1:1 with Bilal + Quarterly Review prep
THU 28: Customer Day · Interview 3 power users on Wallet 2.0
FRI 29: Sync Day · Engineering sync + retro + planning week +1

⏰ Daily themes
• Mornings 9-12: deep work (PROTECT this slot)
• Afternoons 2-5pm: meetings and coordination
• 5-6pm: commitment review and wrap-up

🛡 Anti-distractions
• Informal, non-strategic coffee chats, reschedule for week +1
• "AI Innovation" working group Thursday (optional, skip it)
• "Roadmap Q4" brainstorm, too early, ask to postpone

🚨 Weekly risks
• Wednesday is packed: 6 back-to-back meetings, zero margin,
block 2-3pm as a focus block
• Friday afternoon: you'll be drained after an intense week,
keep week +1 planning to 30 min max, no more
• Tuesday's KYC v3 wrap-up could slip if Compliance asks for
another round, keep a 2h buffer Tuesday evening

🚀 First-time setup

Schedule it Sunday at 6pm. Turn on a "review and adjust before Monday morning" notification.
